Joy was born in Perth Australia and lived in England, Scotland, France, South Africa and Sweden before moving to the United States. Sixteen house moves between seven countries and three states within the U.S. have enhanced her understanding of buyers’ and sellers’ needs. Attracted by the European feel of Charleston, along with its rich history, wonderful architecture, strong arts community and stunning natural beauty, Joy and her family selected Charleston as a place to build their new home. While her youngest attended Porter-Gaud School, Joy industriously began learning about the greater Charleston community. After more than 20 years of living by the water in Australia, she feels very comfortable calling Charleston and the wonderful expanses of the Lowcountry home.
Joy has a background in high end sales, working in property management in London England and in the fine art world as a consultant with Portraits, Inc. of New York. For the past five years she has been actively involved in Charleston real estate. Joy was featured in the “Top 10 Sold List for Kiawah and Seabrook 2007.” A resident of Seabrook Island, Joy looks forward to sharing her knowledge of Charleston, South of the Peninsula and specifically Seabrook, Kiawah and the West Islands.
Joy’s professionalism, calm demeanor, sense of humor, efficiency and attention to detail are noted by clients time and again. She welcomes the opportunity to share her extensive knowledge of the barrier islands with clients whether they plan to sell, or are making this amazing area their new home, or home away from home.
Joy is a member of The Center for Women, The Gibbes Museum of Art, the National Association of Realtors and the Seabrook Island Natural History Group.
