Emily E. Gildea  is a native of Bristol, VA who relocated to the Charleston, SC area in 2010. She is a proud Hokie and Virginia Tech graduate, with a degree in Marketing Management and a minor in International Business. She most recently served as the Executive Director of The Charleston Friends of the Library and through the years has served on multiple boards to enhance her community involvement.

Emily lives in North Charleston with her husband Trevor, an IT professional at MUSC and Mt. Pleasant native, and their son Grant.  The family enjoys traveling around the country to music festivals and visiting local parks with their dog Miles.
