Karen Hilty doesn’t just sell real estate on Kiawah Island, she lives there too.  Karen brings a local’s perspective to her years of experience and expertise in the Island communities of Kiawah, Seabrook, Wadmalaw, and John’s Island.  Karen originally studied Education and Psychology at Kent State University and got her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from University of Akron, Ohio.  After working as an educator and therapist, Karen embarked on a career in sales and marketing.  This proved to be a valuable springboard into the world of real estate, which Karen entered when she became President and owner of a small real estate investment company, Kareg Enterprises, in 1990. Since then, she has been representing buyers and sellers all along the Charleston Coast, specializing in her own neck of the woods, the Islands of Kiawah, Seabrook, Wadmalaw, and Johns Island.

Karen is interested in golf, tennis, travel, aviation and the arts.  She feels that varied training, background, and experiences have enhanced her interpersonal skills and allows her to better serve her clients’ needs.
