Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Layne McCombs Kipp spent her time enjoying downtown Charleston while spending her summers on Isle of Palms. When she moved to Colorado with her family, she always knew she would get back “home” to the Charleston area. She attended College of Charleston where she was a member of the Tri-Delta sorority earning a Bachelors of Science and then a Masters of Education from The Citadel.

Layne has spent the past 20 years in the technology sales business managing teams of people and global accounts. Layne’s enthusiasm and passion for our coastal areas, combined with her dedication to maintaining and preserving history and local habitats greatly influenced her move into Real Estate focusing on first and second home buyers in the Sullivans Island, Isle of Palms and Mt. Pleasant area.

Layne, her husband and daughter are residents of the Isle of Palms. Layne is an active member of Isle of Palms Methodist Church, serves on the PTO board for Moultrie Middle School, coaches a local tennis team, and enjoys daily walks on the beach with her golden retriever, Utah.

There is something about the salt air that soothes the soul – and a beauty that can only be found in the sound of the ocean. Layne is excited about helping you find that special place, and to share a little piece of her “home” with you.
