Avondale is a neighborhood in the heart of West Ashley located between Savannah Highway and Saint Andrews Boulevard. It’s location is prime, situated close to downtown, the beach, the West Ashley public boat ramp and across the street from the West Ashley Greenway, which is a beautiful area where you can bike, walk or jog. This neighborhood has a thriving “downtown area” of shops and restaurants where Magnolia Road meets Savannah Highway.
The 340 homes that make up Avondale were built between the ’40s and ’50s so they have lots of wonderful character. The lots are a nice size and many contain mature live oak trees that are so desirable in the Charleston area.
