The Real Estate Studio has a new show on display by local artist Robert Harris from August 27 – October 7, 2014.

Robert Harris specializes in finely detailed pencil renderings. His art is inspired by both the natural and man-made beauty of the Lowcountry. The Studio show features a variety of original works in black and white. He began his career at Winthrop University where he majored in Fine Art. He received his Bachelor of Science for Graphic Communications in 1986 from Clemson University.

Having been raised with a rich and colorful southern family heritage, Robert made his home in Charleston, South Carolina where he enjoys a love for the lifestyle, culture, history, architecture, and the coastal landscape.

In addition to the originals on display at the Studio, Robert also produces and sells prints of his works. In some cases, he uses Prismacolor pencils to hand-color prints, taking inspiration from hand-tinted lithographs produced before color was invented. Prints are on 80 # cover weight stock, acid-free, cream. Included with the larger prints is a historical biography of the scene printed on parchment paper with an embossed foil seal.

Robert currently lives in Mount Pleasant. You may contact Robert and view all of his images at www.robertharrisfineart.com.

An Artists Reception is planned for Friday, October 3 from 6-9pm. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served. For more information, contact The Real Estate Studio at 722-5618.
