Out with the old and in with the new on Isle of Palms

by Traci Magnus

I can’t tell you how many locals have mentioned having fond memories of the Red and White Grocery Store just next to the IOP connector on Palm Boulevard. Of course, by now anyone who lives on or near the island knows that the Red and White is no more, and the days of “Newton Farms” are soon to begin.

Newton Farms Grocery coming to the Isle of Palms

by Donnie Whitaker, dunes properties of Charleston agent, 843.607.0954

After years of serving the Isle of Palms, the Red & White has closed and in it’s place comes Newton Farms. Newton Farms will revitalize in a much needed way part of the shopping district on the island that in my opinion has needed a face lift for some time.

Newton Farms will give the Isle of Palms a boost by providing a new kind of grocery.  Think Whole foods or Earth Fare, but on a local scale. Inside you will find specialty foods, health items, quality meats, and a great craft beer and wine selection.  This store will also be convenient to Sullivan’s Island and the resort of Wild Dunes.

Newton Farms is sure to fit in perfect on the Isle of Palms and will be welcomed soon by it’s residents.
